In contrast, anti-tumor effects of ANXA5 were revealed in some tumors such as melanoma [11], gastric cancer [12], non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cell lines [13], and lung carcinoma [14], suggesting tumor-specific effects of ANXA5. Increased serum level of ANXA5 that was associated with increased tumor grade as well as lymph node metastasis have been shown in some patients with CRC [15]. This evidence concerns the gene ANXA5 and colorectal carcinoma.
