Tripartite motif-containing 3 (TRIM3), as a member of the TRIMs family, has been revealed to provide a post-translational mechanism for inflammation, apoptosis, and proliferation (Wang et al., 2019; Dong et al., 2020; Li W. et al., 2022; Zhuang et al., 2022); however, whether TRIM3 is involved in the immune and inflammatory response after viral infection, especially DBV infection, remains unclear. The gene discussed is TRIM3; the disease is viral infectious disease.
