Pituitary blastomas are linked to a germline and somatic variation in DICER1, a key gene in microRNA processing, and may thereby be associated with other DICER1-related tumors, namely, ovarian Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor, renal tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, and several thyroid proliferations (47–49). The gene discussed is DICER1; the disease is Ovarian Sertoli-Leydig Cell Tumor.
