Comparison of the patient’s clinicopathological characteristics with the two groups, significant correlation was found between γ-OHPdG levels and presurgical AFP levels (Table 1), but other baseline variables including age, sex, HbsAg, HBV DNA load, ALT, AST, TBIL, prothrombin time, alcoholism, long-term smoking, HCC family history, surgical procedures, nodule numbers, tumor capsule, surgical margin, neoplastic necrosis, satellite nodules and background liver function, were not associated. This evidence concerns the gene F2 and alcohol drinking.
