Therefore, expression of RIOK3 X2 during RVFV MP12 infection could be beneficial for the virus, and this might be due, at least in part, to RIOK3 X2 engaging the noncanonical NFκB pathway through supplementing the p100 pool in the infected cell and thereby diminishing the cell’s type 1 IFN response.
