The analyses of selected laboratory parameters indicate the presence of increased inflammation and vascular abnormalities already at the time of hospital admission—this is illustrated by the high mean CRP, PCT, ferritin and D-dimer levels, as well as creatinine and LDH levels, and the high mean and median EASIX that was identified as an independent prognostic factor for a severe course of COVID-19 and risk of COVID-19-related death [34,35,36].
