The optimal cut-off value for visfatin for the detection of subclinical atherosclerosis in patients only using β-blockers was 1.63 ng/mL, with a sensitivity of 88% and a specificity of 70% (the area under the curve was 0.888; 95% CI: 0.737–1.000; p = 0.006). This evidence concerns the gene NAMPT and atherosclerosis.
