The collective interdisciplinary work justifies for the first time the phenotypic involvement of multifunctional Ti(IV) complex forms in cellular differentiation processes, expressly projecting (a) insulin mimetic behavior toward adipogenesis, while concurrently exhibiting a favorable effect during osteogenesis, and (b) events supporting further perusal (both in vitro and in vivo) into specific molecular interactions exemplifying the phenotypic behavior observed and hence the potential use of such species as future metallopharmaceuticals in diabetes mellitus type 2.
