The post hoc analysis revealed that ADHD adolescents were characterized by significantly higher levels of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, M1 profile, proinflammatory profile, and proinflammatory/anti-inflammatory cytokine ratio compared to the control group (p < 0.001; p < 0.001; p < 0.001; p < 0.001; p = 0.004; p < 0.001; respectively). Here, IL6 is linked to attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
