Consistent with the results for NeuN labeling, compared with the sham-operated mice, the number of fibrinogen-positive cells within the peri-infarct region was significantly reduced in both the stroke + control-treated mice (p = 0.0023) and stroke + clopidogrel-treaded mice (p = 0.0007), but there was no difference in the number of fibrinogen-positive cells within the peri-infarct region between the stroke + control-treated and stroke + clopidogrel-treated mice (p = 0.1654) (Figure 7D).
