Crisaborole 29 (Figure 8) is a PDE4 inhibitor which was approved in 2016 for the treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis, following clinical studies confirming that it can disrupt the inflammation, inhibiting the activity of NF-ĸB and the production of inflammatory cytokines [70,71,72]. The gene discussed is PDE4A; the disease is atopic eczema.
