Recently, it has been shown that delivery of RP uS3 from a cisplatin-resistant gastric cancer cell line to the sensitive one by exosomes results in the change of the receptor cells phenotype to the resistant one mediated by the PI3K-Akt-cofilin-1 signaling pathway, which is involved in the mitochondrial apoptosis of cisplatin-resistant gastric cancer cells [47]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and gastric cancer.
