When the results of percentages of CD38-expressing cells were plotted individually, a higher proportion of CLL patients with mutated SF3B1 had >30% CD38-positive tumor cells compared with those patients with wild-type SF3B1 (median CD38 (%): 5 vs. 32; Mann–Whitney U test p = 0.0087) (Figure 3). This evidence concerns the gene CD38 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
