Current evidence suggests that SOX18 has an oncogenic role in carcinogenesis, promoting migration, invasion, and proliferation in cell lines of various cancer origins, including bladder, breast, cervix, colon, larynx, liver, kidneys, osteosarcoma, pancreas, and prostate [14,16,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35].
