In the univariate analysis, the variables associated with a poor clinical outcome were the absence of structured transition (p = 0.007); emergency visits due to an IBD flare before transfer (p = 0.008); nutritional support before transfer (p = 0.002); body mass index (BMI) < 18.5 at transfer (p < 0.001); IBD activity at transfer (p < 0.001); faecal calprotectin > 250 μg/g at transfer (p < 0.001); C-reactive protein > 0.5 mg/dL at transfer (p < 0.001); and treatment with corticosteroids at transfer (p < 0.001) (Figure 2).
