Just as patients with FLT3-mutated AML have shown improved overall survival from the addition of targeted therapy (sorafenib and other kinase inhibitors), both with upfront chemotherapy and as post-HSCT maintenance therapy [14,15], we believe crizotinib used at these same timepoints will benefit these rare patients with ALK-fusion AML. This evidence concerns the gene FLT3 and acute myeloid leukemia.
