On bivariate analysis, a higher risk of HAI was associated with male sex, obesity, lower lymphocyte count, CRP > 10 mg/dL, ferritin > 500 mg/dL, LDH > 246 IU/L, D-dimer > 500 mg/mL, use of IMV on the first 24 h upon admission, and treatment with corticosteroids and tocilizumab. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
