Interestingly, hypomethylation of five CpG sites in the ABCG1 amplicon was significantly associated with CHD in subjects without hypertension (ABCG1_CpG_2, ABCG1_CpG_4, ABCG1_CpG_7.10, and ABCG1_CpG_8, ORs per −10% methylation ranging from 2.02 to 3.44, p < 0.044 for all by logistic regression model B, Fig. 4A, Additional file 1: Table S7). This evidence concerns the gene ABCG1 and coronary artery disorder.
