Indeed, intracellular biotargets of resveratrol, including a protein with high binding affinity, quinone reductase 2 (QR2), were found to be significantly overexpressed in CRC defined by CIN, particularly in cells harboring a positive KRAS (Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog) mutation, and by the MSI but not the CIMP phenotype. This evidence concerns the gene NQO2 and cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
