In models of acute kidney injury and unilateral ureteral obstruction, treatment with isoliquiritigenin, quercetin and the SYK inhibitor BAY61‐3606 all downregulated Mincle protein levels in renal macrophages, blocked the Mincle/SYK/NF‐κB signal transduction and significantly reduced renal inflammation and fibrosis.26, 27. This evidence concerns the gene SYK and acute kidney injury.
