Moreover, analyzing the expression of COL6A1 and its correlated genes in GBM samples from the TCGA [58] or the Rembrandt (GSE68848; [59]) datasets, we found that they negatively impact on GBM patient prognosis, with patients expressing high levels of these genes (> 75° percentile) being characterized by a significant worse progression and overall survival (Fig. 5C, D), in line with a predictable higher malignancy when COL6, and the co-regulated genes are upregulated in GSC cells. Here, COL6A1 is linked to glioblastoma.
