CRP and hypertensive disorder: Given the association between increased CRP levels and the absence of an ideal CVH behavior and biological factors that make up the CVHM score, including in the hypertensive population with an Ow/Ob phenotype, efforts should be made by clinicians to identify and treat modifiable behavior and biological risk factors (e.g., proper control of blood pressure and lipid and glucose levels, reduction in BMI, stopping smoking, healthy diet, and physical exercise) to prevent hypertension-related complications through attenuation of the inflammatory state in these patients.
