Aberrant levels of LAP are associated with several diseases or disorders of pathological progress, such as liver dysfunction, tumor cell proliferation invasion and angiogenesis, pancreatic and bile duct diseases, drug resistance endometrial carcinoma, etc., allowing LAP to serve as the diagnostic or prognostic biomarker of liver injury, epithelial ovarian cancer, and breast cancer in clinical practice [10,11,12,13,14,15,16].
