Additionally, overexpression of ID2 has been identified in colorectal cancer (CRC), and KD of ID2 leads to decreased proliferation and cell cycle arrest in CRC cell lines, accompanied by significantly altered expression levels of a variety of cell cycle-related proteins, including cyclin D1, cyclin E, Cdk6, p21, and p27 17. This evidence concerns the gene ID2 and colorectal carcinoma.
