Many studies have shown that snoRNAs are dysregulated in HCC cells and tissues; for instance, SNORD126 and SNORD105 are significantly up-regulated in HCC tissue, whereas SNORA52 and SNORD31 are significantly down-regulated.10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 A low expression of SNORD113-1 was found in HCC tissue, and the results obtained from a clinical specimen provide evidence that decreased expression of SNORD113-1 contributes to HCC development and progression.10 This evidence concerns the gene SNORD126 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
