Therefore, if it were consistently found in the reviewed studies that BMAL1, CLOCK and NPAS2 were upregulated in thyroid carcinoma [1,3,6,7,8,9], the suppressors of activity of BMAL1, CLOCK and NPAS2 (CRYs, DECs, and PERs) would be expected to be downregulated in this carcinoma.
