SELPLG and colitis: Furthermore, mice in the B. longum CCFM681 intervention group outperformed those in the CCFM760 and CCFM642 groups in terms of the improvement in mucosal barrier function and reduction of mucosal barrier levels, with the results of the analysis of bacterial products revealing that the improvements were related to the amount of CLA produced by B. longum; higher CLA levels were associated with greater colitis remission (Chen et al., 2021).
