According to the results obtained in this study, it can be said that HIIT exercises exert cardioprotective effects to reduce cardiac tissue injury and decrease the apoptosis of the heart in MI; these effects caused an increase in mitochondrial biogenesis and angiogenesis by inducing increased expression of VEGF, TFAM, PGC-1α, and miR-126 genes in the cardiac tissue. Here, TFAM is linked to myocardial infarction.
