In the logistic regression model that regulated for the confounders of marital status, education years, sex, age, vascular risk factors (alcohol consumption, current smoking, atrial fibrillation, coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension), the maximum tertile of SAA exhibited the capability of carrying out an independent prediction of unfavorable results after AIS (Model 2c: OR = 5.165, 95% CI = 2.395–11.594, p < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene SAA1 and hypertensive disorder.
