TNNT2 overexpression upregulated EGFR- and HER2-related proteins in colorectal cancer cells and promoted the occurrence of EMT(represented by changes in E-cadherin, vimentin and N-cadherin expression), which led to the loss of polarity of colorectal cancer epithelial cells, decreased cell adhesion, reduced contact with surrounding cells and stromal cells, and reduced cell-to-cell interaction. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and colorectal cancer.
