Global promoter methylation analysis revealed hypermethylation of the promoters for a number of tumor suppressor genes, including BCL2L11 (BIM), DAPK1, and TET2, in NKTCL cell lines and patient samples; treatment with decitabine induced the re-expression of methylated genes [124], suggesting possible therapeutic action of demethylating agents. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2L11 and extranodal nasal NK/T cell lymphoma.
