To further explore the process of liver fibrosis in mice, we detected E-cadherin and N-cadherin in the liver and found that in the infected mice, the expression of E-cadherin decreased with the prolongation of infection time, while the expression of N-cadherin decreased in the first 4 weeks and then increased at weeks 8 and 16 post-infection (Fig. 2d, e; Additional file 1: Fig. S2B–D). This evidence concerns the gene CDH1 and infection.
