ALB and chronic kidney disease: Diabetic retinopathy was found in 18 subjects (30.51%) and chronic kidney disease (defined as a glomerular filtration rate [GFR] calculated by the CKD-EPI formula ≤ 60 ml/min/1.73 m2) and albuminuria (defined as a urine albumin:creatinine ratio ≥ 30 mg/g) were found in 30 (49.1%) and 15 (25.42%) subjects, respectively.
