ZIC2 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma: The application of the MCSF inhibitor pexidartinib, which is the first drug approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of symptomatic tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) patients, could reverse the M2 phenotype macrophage polarization induced by ZIC2 overexpression both in vitro and in vivo, suggesting that MCSF plays an important role in the interaction between NPC cells and TAMs.
