In agreement with published literature (Nagy et al., 2005; Yu et al., 2016), acne-derived strains (C-type strains HL096PA1, HL043PA1, and HL005PA1) induced greater levels of IL-10 and IFN-γ from human monocyte-derived dendritic cells than health-associated K-type strains HL110PA3, HL110PA4, and HL042PA3 (Figure 1a).
