An increased expression of EZH2 was discovered in the following patient tissues: lung tissue from patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (Xiao et al., 2016), atrial muscle from patients with atrial fibrillation and fibrosis (Song et al., 2019), kidney tissue from patients with kidney disease associated with fibrotic scarring (Zhou et al., 2016), and dermal fibroblasts from patients with diffuse cutaneous scleroderma (Tsou et al., 2019). Here, EZH2 is linked to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
