Flow cytometry and cell sorting with prostate cancer stemness-specific antibodies (CD44, CD133) were accomplished to identify differential percentages of stem-like cell populations (CD44+, CD133+, and CD++) in all prostate cancer subtypes, including EA and AA, to evaluate the impact of METRO-TOPO in eroding “stem-like” (CD44+/CD133+) cell subpopulations. This evidence concerns the gene PROM1 and prostate carcinoma.
