CD1C and tuberculosis: Myeloid or conventional (m/cDCs) are one of the major cell populations infected with Mtb in the lung and draining lymph nodes (LN) in mouse models of TB (Wolf et al., 2007) and in humans comprise of three subsets: cDC1, CD1c+ cDC2 and the recently identified inflammatory cDC3 which also express CD1c in addition to CD163 and CD14 (Segura, 2022).
