These reactions included those of l-arogenate hydro-lyase (EC4.2.1.51) and L-Phenylalanine:2-oxoglutarate aminotransferase (EC2.6.1.1), which showed notably constrained flux-bound variability across most simulated strain GEMs (Fig. 5d, Supplementary Data S8) suggesting a role for shikimate pathway-associated metabolites and thioredoxin in differentiating A. fumigatus origin (Fig. 3c) and in determining colonization status in cystic fibrosis. This evidence concerns the gene TXN and cystic fibrosis.
