Preliminary screening with the chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test showed that the SNPs rs3789068 in the Bcl-2-like protein 11 (BCL2L11) gene (co-dominant, dominant, and allele models), rs724710 in BCL2L11 (allele model), rs798755 in the tumour protein P53 binding protein 2 (TP53BP2) gene (co-dominant model), and rs4251864 in PLAUR (dominant and allele models) were significantly correlated with susceptibility to AML (P < 0.05). The gene discussed is TP53BP2; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
