In a variety of tumor-related studies, it has been confirmed that lncRNAs participate in the tumorigenesis and development of cancers by regulating EMT progression [9], for example, HDAC2 downregulates lncRNA H19 to inhibit MMP14-mediated EMT in CRC [10], TGF-β induces the expression of lnc-TUG1 and enhances TWIST1 expression to increase EMT-mediated metastasis in CRC [11], and linc-SMAD7 sponges microRNA 125b (miR-125b) to enhance the expression of SIRT6, thus promoting EMT in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) [12]. The gene discussed is TUG1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
