CHEK1 and HIV-1 infection: In contrast with the above loci showing increased risk of genotypes on HIV-1 infection, a decreased risk for HIV-1 infection was observed of Chk1 rs12576279 under dominant and codominant models (P = 0.048, OR = 0.437, 95% CI = 0.192–0.991; P = 0.013, OR = 0.343, 95% CI = 0.147-0.800).
