RNF8 and neoplasm: In agreement with the clinical data supporting a tumor-suppressing role of RNF8 in gliomagenesis, xenotransplantation experiments showed that RNF8 overexpressing GSCs generated significantly smaller tumor volume than their GFP counterpart in immunocompromised mice, which was accompanied by an extended survival (median survival of 33 vs 26.5 days) (Fig. 6G–I).
