Interestingly, we observe that larvae missing one copy of ctnnd2b present with a more pronounced increase in activity when exposed to darkness than controls, resembling the changes reported in the Cntnap2 zebrafish autism model mentioned above (Hoffman et al., 2016), as well as in a model for lphn3.1-related ADHD (Lange et al., 2012). Here, CNTNAP2 is linked to autism.
