Further western blot validation was performed, and the results indicated that the expression levels of seven genes (NEK4, MLYCD, LNPEP, NOM1, COMMD2, CSTF2T, PARG) related to disease and hypoxia were significantly reduced in MI patients compared with healthy volunteers, but their expression were not significant between the healthy and UA samples (Figures 8C–D). Here, NEK4 is linked to myocardial infarction.
