In addition to VEGF, serum CEA is a well-characterized glycoprotein, which is associated with depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis and tumor metastasis, and is usually used to diagnose gastrointestinal malignancies and monitor of therapeutic effects in gastric cancer, esophageal cancer and breast cancer [20, 21].
