The mRNA and protein levels of PLIN3 in liver tissues, including normal tissue, NAFL, HCC without or with NAFL, were examined by qRT-PCR (Fig. 5C), immunohistochemistry (Fig. 5D), and western blot (Fig. 5E), which indicated that LDs accumulation in the liver could promote the transcription and protein expression of PLIN3. Here, PLIN3 is linked to non-alcoholic fatty liver.
