Some of these potential biomarkers are cancer-specific, such as Fms-related receptor tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) in AML and SLAM family member 7 (SLAMF7) in myeloma, while others are found to be elevated in two or more cancers, such as lymphocyte antigen 9 (LY9) with higher expression in both CLL and myeloma.
