Table 2 shows that the majority of patients had co-morbidities (68.3%); about one-half of them had diabetes mellitus (52.1%). The most common medications of the included hypertensive patients were beta-blockers (83.5%), angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (55.4%), and diuretics (43%). Most of the patients (90.9%) improved. Here, ACE is linked to diabetes mellitus.
