The Apoer2 ligand, Reelin, is implicated in several neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases, such as autism, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, and AD (reviewed in (Caruncho et al., 2004; Costa et al., 2001; D’Arcangelo, 2006; Folsom and Fatemi, 2013; Knuesel, 2010; Lakatosova and Ostatnikova, 2012; Lane-Donovan et al., 2015)). Here, RELN is linked to major depressive disorder.
